Often times we makes errors in live because we wanna fight for our right or take things that we deserve, but God has a way of training us from that Baby like state to a True Servant state. His training may be considered as painful to us but in the end it will all be worth it. Sometimes, God Himself turns the other way when trials and discomfort comes our way, or when we foolishly or ignorantly get ourselves into uncomfortable situations.

This is because, the Pain is meant for our Gain. in Luke 15:12 The younger son of the wealthy man used the statement “Give me what is mine”, but in Verse 19 when he came back to his sense, his Language became “make me”. As Believers in Christ our lives should be a life of servitude to both God and mankind just like the Younger Son on his return from the self-inflicted Pain training. The funny thing about it all is that each time we think we deserve and make requests, the proceeds are usually not lasting.

The gift of the father will eventually finish when taken outside the Father’s will and plans but when we return with a servant mindset, to serve the Father, there will be a consistent flow to us.

Now, I’m not disputing our right as Children of God to request from the Lord, the issue is that most of the time the requests we make is just for our own profiting but God’s plans is that we should be blessed so we can be a blessing. (That was his promise to Abraham our Father.) So that we can be of services to others.

When we deviate from this Plan, something drastic like a painful experience is needed to bring us back to our Senses. It could be A Pig Farm experience like the young Son or A prolong course in Animal Lifestyle like Nebuchadnezzar or something else.

The deal is, when you go through pain, use it to retrace your steps back to the place of the Father and the Father’s all sufficient Love will cover you.

Focus more on your Duties and Responsibilities as a Child of God rather than on your Rights. Trust me, God is not a debtor to anyone, He can’t owe you. If you execute your duties and live up to your responsibilities, it is a Law that you must be rewarded (Romans 4:4), but if you fail and keep looking on your rights, You may need to be Trained by Pain.

President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday 23rd June in Abuja assured state governors that the days of impunity, lack of accountability, and fiscal recklessness in the management of national resources are over in Nigeria.

Speaking at a meeting with the governors in the Presidential Villa, Mr. Buhari also vowed that funds stolen by government officials who abused their offices in the recent past will be recovered and systemic leakages stopped.

“There are financial and administrative instructions in every government parastatal and agency. But all these were thrown to the dogs in the past”, the Special Adviser to the Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, quoted the President as saying. “Honestly, our problems are great, but we will do our best to surmount them.

“The next three months may be hard, but billions of dollars can be recovered, and we will do our best”, the President told the governors.

Expressing surprise that the governors had tolerated the atrocities allegedly committed with the Excess Crude Account since 2011, President Buhari promised to tackle the issue decisively.

The President declared that the payment of national revenue into any account other than the Federation Account was an abuse of the constitution, adding that what he had heard was going on in many agencies and corporations, particularly the NNPC, was clearly illegal.

On the refund of monies spent on federal projects by state governments, President Buhari assured the governors that the Federal Government will pay, but insisted that due process must be followed.

The President promised special assistance for the three North Eastern states badly affected by the Boko Haram insurgency.

He also said that a comprehensive statement on the economic and financial situation inherited by his administration will be made to the nation within the next four weeks.

“We will try and put the system back into the right position. What happened in the 2nd Republic has apparently happened again, and even worse, but we will restore sanity to the system”, President Buhari assured the Governors.

On an immediate lifeline for states that owe salaries running into many months, President Buhari said a committee headed by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will look at the Excess Crude Account and see what can be shared immediately.

The governors, led by Chairman of the Governors Forum, Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State, had presented a wish list to the President that included:

1) Obedience of extant Supreme Court ruling that all monies go into the Consolidated Federation Account;

2) An order from the President that all revenue generating agencies must pay into the Consolidated Federation Account;

3) Review of the Revenue Allocation Formula;

4) Refund of the monies expended by states on federal projects;

5) A special consideration for the three states of the North East under Boko Haram infestation;

6) Full details of the amounts that accrued into the Excess Crude Account from 2011, and how the money miraculously shrank without official sharing.

Please fellow Nigerians be calm, the Command in Chief is just trying all he can to solve the security challenges and reduce the sufferings of Nigerians at the same time.

Moreover his orders, (Yes, ORDERS, because there was no deliberation on the checkpoints issue in the meeting with the Service Chiefs) were that  Checkpoints all over the country should be dismantled with immediate effect and the Police should step up to the plate in handling Internal Security and replace Check points with Policemen where ever necessary, with the exception of Volatile areas and areas where the Armed Forces are already engaged in Campaigns to salvage the territorial wealth and people of the Republic from both External and Internal Insurrection.

The President’s strategy may not go down well with everyone including those in the Situation Room at the Villa, but I think the wise thing to do is to Pray for the President and his plans, because if the plans should fail, we all will suffer for it (Including The President). Give it some time and Spend that time Praying.

The word “mess” is a disagreeable mixture or confusion of things; hence, a situation resulting from blundering or from misunderstanding; a disorder.

Don’t let the devil keep you in that mess. It is the devil’s business to suggestively convince you by infiltrating your mind that the mess is who you are and by so doing makes you give up on yourself. No wonder 1 Peter 5:8 says “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. But truth is that the MESSAGE is what you really are and not the mess that the devil is suggesting.

The devil is a deceiver, He deceived Adam and Eve and took the world from them that’s why he is called the god of this world and being the god of this world he is introducing and legitimizing all sorts of immoralities

2 Corinthians 4:4
Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
It is said that change is constant but you have got to be decisive in making that change by telling yourself even if it seems like you are been consumed by that addiction ” it’s not What I am, it’s not what God created me to be, I will not settle for the life of an alcoholic, I will not settle for masturbation, pornography, drugs, Homosexuality, lesbianism, adultery, fornication, tale bearing, mediocrity, poverty and etc.

Yes a table of choice is set before us and it is of Life and death. Deuteronomy 30:19 says “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

The B part says “Oh! That you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live.

And verse 20 of Deuteronomy 30 says “You can make this choice by loving the lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the lord , you will live long in the land the lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

Jabez was born out of sorrow and named after sorrow but his decision produced a more honourable life for him than his brethren. (1 Chronicles 4:9&10)

Paul who was formally Saul was a Christian slayer but had an encounter with JESUS CHRIST and got transformed, now He is a Message.

Thank God for the second Adam in the Person of JESUS CHRIST. 2 Corinthians 15:45
The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam–that is, Christ–is a life-giving Spirit.

Don’t settle for the mess cause you are on your way to being the message.

Receive life and Stay blessed.

The Lyrics to this Song has since inception being an inspirational tool to many including myself. Allow me share this with You … Enjoy and be inspired.

“You Raise Me Up”

When I am down and, oh, my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up to more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up to more than I can be.

There is no life – no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up to more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up to more than I can be.

You raise me up to more than I can be.

Wow, a niceeeee work

Australia was once considered “the lucky country”. We sold dirt to every continent and received all the fancy household goods and nick knacks we could possibly desire. Those other nations never bothered us because we were too stupid to be a threat, and we kept dealing the lovely cheap dirt out like a donkey following a carrot. What happened to those fruitful years of plenty? What happened to the seemingly endless economic prosperity that fuelled our first world society? Well, like most failed civilisations, Australians and the Australians who ran Australia were particularly too stupid. You probably have all the crazy ideas and common sense to see why we are screwed as a nation but I want to alert you only to the tipping point toward our decline.

The point at which this country made a turn for the worse was simply when Pizza-Hut restaurants started closing their doors. You…

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Proverbs 18:21).

Everything God gave us is activated through speech – words. Many, however, don’t understand the power of words. The primary function of your mouth and your tongue is to steer your life in God’s direction for you. Remember what the Bible tells us about God in the book of Genesis; it says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light (Genesis 1:1-3).

The first speech we notice from God wasn’t to somebody; rather, He started by talking to situations and circumstances. He was making things happen through the power of speech, showing us what we’re supposed to do with words. He wanted light and He said, “…let there be light”, and light came into being. He gave us the ability to speak so that like Him, we can call into existence the things that we want to see in our lives and environment. Halleluiah!

Your words locate you; what you say determines where you’ll be in life. That’s the reason it’s so important for you to avoid talking negatively. For instance, when a Christian declares, “I can’t do such-and-such”, he may think that only applies to the context of that particular statement, but it’s not so! That statement immediately works in his spirit and affects his divine nature.

This accounts for why some Christians are in a dilemma in their walk of faith. They think they know the Word of faith; yet they’re not getting the right results of the Word in their lives, and they wonder why the contradiction. The reason is that they’ve programmed too much negativism into their spirits which must be changed. And only the Word can make that happen.

Think and talk right. Talk according to the scriptures! Be sure that your words are in sync with the revealed Word of God always. That way, you’ll consistently make progress, and chart your course from glory to glory.

Dear Father, I thank you for your glory in my life, and the influence of your Word in my spirit, soul, and body, and on my lips! By the power of your Word on my lips, my life is beautified daily; my mind is renewed, and I’m transformed from glory to glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Further Study: Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. ;

Philemon 1:6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

(John Legend Ft. Common)

[Chorus – John Legend:]
One day when the glory comes
It will be ours, it will be ours
One day when the war is won
We will be sure, we will be sure
Oh glory

Hands to the Heavens, no man, no weapon
Formed against, yes glory is destined
Every day women and men become legends
Sins that go against our skin become blessings
The movement is a rhythm to us
Freedom is like religion to us
Justice is juxtapositionin’ us
Justice for all just ain’t specific enough
One son died, his spirit is revisitin’ us
Truant livin’ livin’ in us, resistance is us
That’s why Rosa sat on the bus
That’s why we walk through Ferguson with our hands up
When it go down we woman and man up
They say, “Stay down”, and we stand up
Shots, we on the ground, the camera panned up
King pointed to the mountain top and we ran up

[John Legend:]
Now the war is not over, victory isn’t won
And we’ll fight on to the finish, then when it’s all done
We’ll cry glory, oh glory
We’ll cry glory, oh glory

Selma is now for every man, woman and child
Even Jesus got his crown in front of a crowd
They marched with the torch, we gon’ run with it now
Never look back, we done gone hundreds of miles
From dark roads he rose, to become a hero
Facin’ the league of justice, his power was the people
Enemy is lethal, a king became regal
Saw the face of Jim Crow under a bald eagle
The biggest weapon is to stay peaceful
We sing, our music is the cuts that we bleed through
Somewhere in the dream we had an epiphany
Now we right the wrongs in history
No one can win the war individually
It takes the wisdom of the elders and young people’s energy
Welcome to the story we call victory
Comin’ of the Lord, my eyes have seen the glory

[John Legend:]
When the war is done, when it’s all said and done
We’ll cry glory, oh glory

Nigerian-Senate-LogoThe cost of Governance in Nigeria is a huge unjust strain on the nations economy. if nothing is done by the present Buhari administration, then there will be no room for meaningful development in the country. Do you know that a Nigerian senator earns more in Salary than US President and David Cameron of the UK. I’ll leave you to tell how much Nigerian President goes home with at the end of each month.

In the United States, while the minimum wage is $1,257 (N191, 667), a US lawmaker earns $15,080 (N2.3m) per month. In the United Kingdom, a lawmaker earns $8,686 (N1.3m) monthly while the gross national minimum wage is $1,883 (N283, 333) per month. Also, Nigerian lawmakers earn higher than their counterparts in Sweden. With a monthly pay of $7,707 (N1.2m), a lawmaker in Sweden will need to work for over 12 years to equal what a Nigerian senator earn per annum. An Indian lawmaker must work for at least 49 years to earn the annual salary of a Nigerian senator.

The president of the United States takes home an annual salary of $400,000 (N64.156,0m), including a $50,000 expense allowance making the president the highest paid public servant in the US. The $400,000 includes everything and $350,000 out of it is taxable.

The details of the remuneration of an average Nigerian Senator is detailed below; (and there are some allowances that will make you wonder if this people have a conscience or not).

  • Basic Salary (B.S) – N2,484,245.50
  • Hardship Allowance (50% of B.S) – N1,242,122.70
  • Constituency Allowance (200% of B.S) – N4,968,509.00
  • Newspapers Allowance (50% of B.S) – N1,242,122.70
  • Wardrobe Allowance (25% of B.S) – N621,061.37
  • Recess Allowance (10% of B.S) – N248,424.55
  • Accommodation (200% of B.S) – N4,968,509.00
  • Utilities (30% of B.S) – N828,081.83
  • Domestic Staff (70% of B.S) – N1,863,184.12
  • Entertainment (30% of B.S) – N828,081.83
  • Personal Assistants (25% of B.S) – N621,061.12
  • Vehicle Maintenance Allowance (75% of B.S) – N1,863,184.12
  • Leave Allowance (10% of B.S) – N248,424.55
  • Severance Gratuity (300% of B.S) – N7,452,736.50
  • Car Allowance (400% of B.S) – N9,936,982.00
  • TOTAL MONTHLY SALARY = N29,479,749.00 ($181,974.00)
  • TOTAL YEARLY SALARY = N29,479,749.00 x 12 = N353,756,988.00 ($2,183,685.00)

* EXCHANGE RATE: $1 = N162 (Hopefully the Naira will get back to where it was as at December 2014 when this analysis began)

  • * Britain – $105,400.00
    * United States – $174,000.00
    * France – $85,900.00
    * South Africa – $104,000.00
    * Kenya – $74,500.00
    * Saudi Arabia – $64,000.00
    * Brazil – $157,600.00
    * Ghana – $46,500.00
    * Indonesia – $65,800.00
    * Thailand – $43,800.00
    * India – $11,200.00
    * Italy – $182,000.00
    * Bangladesh – $4,000.00
    * Israel – $114,800.00
    * Hong Kong – $130,700.00
    * Japan – $149,700.00
    * Singapore – $154,000.00
    * Canada – $154 000.00
    * New Zealand – $112,500.00
    * Germany – $119,500.00
    * Ireland – $120,400.00
    * Pakistan – $3,500.00
    * Malaysia – $25,300.00
    * Sweden – $99 300.00
    * Sri Lanka – $5,100.00
    * Spain – $43,900.00
    * Norway – $138,000.00

The funny thing is that the standard of living and the Gross Domestic ratios of most of the above countries are well high than that of Nigeria.

In terms of lawmakers’ salaries as a ratio of GDP per capita, the gap is even much wider. While the salary of a Nigerian lawmaker is 116 times the country’s GDP per person, that of a British member of parliament is just 2.7 times.

The average salary of Nigerian worker based on the national minimum wage is N18,000.00, So, the yearly salary is N18,000.00 x 12 = N216,000.00 ($1,333.00)
Remember, Yearly Salary of Nigerian Senator = $2,183,685.00.

Proportion: $2,183,685.00/$1,333.00 = 1,638

It will take an average Nigerian worker 1,638 years to earn the yearly salary of a Nigerian Senator. Thinking on this will just give one an intense heart ache. President Muhammadu Buhari better does something about it or all his proposed effort to redeem the country’s dwindling economy will be a waste. May God help Nigeria.
