A body has been recovered by the Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU) of the Nigerian security forces suspected to be the suicide bomber of Monday’s attack in Nyanya, Abuja.

The charred body was recovered with charms and amulets, he must have used for protection, still strapped to his body. Also with him was a photo of a young boy suspected to be his son.

The charms and amulets are typical of the type used by members of the terrorist group Boko Haram.

Security sources also recovered useful leads with him, including a mobile phone.

Eyewitnesses say they saw a red Volkswagen with four men drive into the park on Monday, whom after detonated the bomb also tried to escape before the explosion.

Either way, security forces said that the suspected bomber, having conveyed the bomb to its destination, walked away to a location at the bus park where he ostensibly waited for the bomb to explode.

Security forces are investigating into how the bomb operation was carried out.

Over time I have come across people who want to know if their relationship is worth taking to the next level. I usually shy away from answering them or even try to evade the question for 3 major reasons. Firstly because I don’t want to be dubbed a Relationship Breaker, Secondly, because, I fear that the answers won’t be welcomed and thirdly, because, my Relationships has not yielded some sensible fruits in the last eighteen months. But if there is anything I realized with the number of huddles I have encountered in life, is that, my experiences are a lesson to many. So basically, I will be using this piece to answer all the doubts you have about your Boyfriend, Fiancé or Spouse (whichever one suits you).
I know the Men won’t be pleased with this but, of what good will it be if the truth about our specie isn’t put out there?
Now here we go,
1. Any guy who cannot delay gratification but wants everything from you even before marriage needs to be watched. He wants early sex, undivided attention and adoration, he is all over you all the time and is extremely jealous, he disrespects your values in life and you opinion does not really count; he wants you to disconnect from your friends and family members and focus only on him. Such guy is a wrong guy!
2. Any guy who finds it difficult to be open up or be transparent to you and avoid talking about his past relationships, failures, financial challenges, emotional problems and is very good at concealing negative things about himself to make a good impression, must be re-assessed before you commit. Relationships cannot grow without transparency.
3. Any man who cannot take responsibility for his life but blames everyone for his challenges except himself is not worth your hand in marriage! He may
also not take responsibility for his marriage!
4. A man, who is a fault-finder and a perfectionist, is difficult to please. In his world, there is no room for mistakes of any magnitude and if you make a mistake, be ready for harsh criticism. On the other hand, if he is good at messing up everything around him, unfortunately he could mess up your life too!
5. Never consider getting married to a lazy man who does not have a realistic vision for his life! A man who is going nowhere will lead his wife nowhere! A man’s responsibility is to provide leadership and direction to his family! On the other hand, when a woman with vision marries a man without vision, she naturally becomes the leader of the home which will eventually lead to conflict or disorder! Believe me; it does not work out well in
marriage!
6. Never marry a man who does not have a relationship with God unless you too do not have one. A man who loves and respect the Lord will love and respect you in obedience to the Lord!
7. Be mindful of a man who is hot tempered, if he flares up because of things that are not significant or at a slightest provocation, it might be dangerous getting married to him unless he changes. Any man with this trait could be aggressive, physically abusive and unpredictable in marriage. A man who cannot control his temper is a time- bomb waiting to happen!
8. A guy, who lives beyond his means; borrows money and does not pay back, is a potential wrong guy. It is different when the debt he owes is a one-off thing and he is making serious effort to pay back but when it is a habit, watch it. There are some men out there who take loan from people or banks for business or investment but end up using it to buy flashy cars, and live in exotic apartments, wear expensive clothes and jewelries, etc. Before you commit to him, research his credit rating or else your wedding party will be glamorous but you would inherit so much debt when you are finally married to him.
9. Never get married to a man who does not respect constituted authority but delights in breaking the law. His actions might land you and your kids in prison one day. A guy who does not have respect for your parents or your relatives may hardly respect you
10. Be weary of a guy who sees you as an alternative to his dream wife! Marry a man who sees you as his number one and not a consolation
for missing another lady out there. – You are fearfully and wonderfully made! – You are loaded with great potential and decked with splendor! – You are the radiance of God’s glory, the apple of His eye! Therefore, let no man take you for granted! Any man that will ask your hand in marriage must meet God’s standards of a REAL MAN
Ok Guys now you can go ahead and kill me.

A long time ago, I think precisely in the earliest part of my work with God, I used to think about how holy God is and how he wouldn’t want anything unclean next to Him. So each time I find any trace of uncleanliness around my life, I tend to effortlessly distant myself from His presence. As factual as that was, it took me a long time to be able to understand the errors in that thought. With growth in working with Word of God, I realize that it’s the Truth that makes us free and not the Fact.

Now the Fact that God is Holy, doesn’t mean He can’t accommodate us with our imperfections. He Himself once said, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28 {ESV}). That is the Truth. Looking at this scripture vividly, I found out that all the Lord is after is to give us rest and not our Laden. Notice how He didn’t say, “Drop all your heavy laden, if you intend to come to me”?

You may have had the roughest of life and consider yourself unholy, but I tell you, God is not after your past, but The Rest He wants to give to you. Our Justification is not by the works we do or our effort towards keeping a clean sheet in God’s Hypothetical Black book. Rather, we are justified by God’s Effort towards redeeming us despite our flaws.

His desire is to see us all Changed notwithstanding what made us dirty. “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18). So stop dwelling in the past and see the places the Lord is willing to take you to, only if you will Just Come. Come with all your imperfections and allow Him clean you up Himself. His hands are wide enough to cater for you and your baggage. The only price you will have to pay is Just Come. Your coming is all that matters. You don’t have to be perfect. …”Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” (Revelation 22:17).

So, quit waiting for the day you no longer feel the urge to delve into that addiction or sin before you come to the Lord. Come today, Come as you are and He will give you Rest.

Some residents of Tsaunin Kura GRA, Unguwan Bulus, Kantin Aga and Unguwan Matari in Kaduna State have expressed worry over poisonous substances being emitted from the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company.

The residents complained that the pollution was making life unbearable for them.

A resident of Tsaunin Kura GRA, Mr Jonah Isua, said the odour from the substances being released by the KRPC was making breathing difficult for them.

“If we are eating, it is like we are swallowing the substance along with the food. If you keep water in an open basin it will be covered by soot-like substance.

“Every morning and evening, the gas always covers the area like dangerous mist, making it difficult for us to breath,” he said.

A poultry farmer at Kamazoo, Grace Tachio, said the emission was affecting her birds, making them not to eat well.

“We are calling on the government and management of Kaduna refinery to take immediate measures to stop the gas flaring, because what we are inhaling is poisonous and capable of killing us all,” she said.

Also, another resident, Ronti George said, “Industrial pollution now deserves due attention from environmentalists in the state.

“I am surprised that this has been happening for weeks now and nobody has said or done anything about it.”

In his reaction, the Coordinator, National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency in the state, Malam Sherif Ibrahim, said the agency was already looking into the problem.

“The issue of gas flaring is affecting the environment and we are on top of the situation.

“We are assuring the residents of the area that we will meet and advise the management of the refinery on the problem,” he said.

Responding to the complaints, the Public Affairs Manager of KRPC, Alhaji Abdullahi Idris, acknowledged the problem but said measures had been taken by the company to address it.

According to him, the the substance being released into the environment is not toxic and therefore not be harmful.

He said, “It was released inadvertently. We have identified the source of the leak and we are in the process of clean up.”

Idris said the company was working in collaboration with officials of NESREA, and the state Environmental Protection Agency to clean up the area.

“If a man knows not what harbor he seeks, any wind is the right wind.” – Seneca

As a Dad to three girls and three boys I have been given the great privilege of helping my kids sail toward the right harbor of Christlikeness and the responsibility of helping them know the right winds that might take them there. The Scriptures exhort us to “act like men” (1 Cor 16:13 NASB) yet when you ask many men today what it is to be a Godly man, they cannot give you a biblically based answer (much less model a biblically informed life). Same with too many women. The New Testament exhorts them to “adorn themselves with ‘proper’ clothing…. as is proper for women making a claim to Godliness” (1 Tim 2:9a; 10b).

As a “warrior” that is given 6 arrows (Psalm 127) it is my job to “aim” them while given the time. In light of this, years ago I sat down and wrote down 5 broad categories of Biblical manhood and womanhood with a general explanation of each and relevant verses. These are the “winds” that Wagner men and women are trying to “catch” as we head toward the life our Lord has called us to. Use them as much as they are useful to you or better yet come up with your own biblically supported definition of a Godly man/woman. I’d love to hear your thoughts and learn from your prayerful efforts.
