Another tragedy in Port Harcourt: Man allegedly jumps to his death from eighth floor

Just four days after four University of Port Harcourt students were cut down in their prime, the Rivers state capital has witnessed another sad occurrence. An unnamed man died, after allegedly jumping from the eighth floor of the Federal Secretariat Complex on Aba Road.

Here is how China Acheru, a sports analyst, narrated it via his Twitter handle, @ikwerreman:

“Another Tragedy struck this morning when a middle aged man Identified as Goodluck Amehule allegedly committed suicide by jumping off from the eight floor of the Federal Secretariat Complex along Aba Road in Port Harcourt.

“An eyewitness, Florence Harry told an eyewitness, Florence Correspondent Daniel Semeniworima that it happened at about half past eight this morning when the man removed his his foot wears, jumped off and died instantly.

“Our Correspondent reports that when officials of the the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital Clinic annexed at the Secretariat, arrived the scene they discovered a Total E and P Identity Card on the lifeless body. The Corpse has been deposited at the Military Hospital in Port Harcourt.”

He however concluded that it could as well been a case of murder, not suicide. We will keep you updated on this story.
